Security License Instructions
Information on obtaining a security license.

5 STAR Event Services is licensed to provide security in the state of Texas by Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau. In order to work a security position you need to obtain a security officer card issued by the State of Texas. The card cost approximately $60.00 and is good for two years. The first step of this process is is completing the Level I and Level II online testing. Upon completion of each section, you should print your results as a copy will be required for our files.

Security Guard - Renewal Instructions
IMPORTANT: You must print a receipt and submit it to the 5 STAR Office in order to continue working and scheduling online. If your card expires and we have not received the renewal receipt, our scheduling system will lock you out because it thinks you are expired.

If you currently have a security officer card through 5 STAR and need to renew your card, there is a simple two step process:
1. Renew online with a credit card.
2. Fill out the renewal application. Print / Sign your name on page 2 and fax it to our licensing center. Fax 713-400-1953

Security Guard - Company Update Instructions

If you currently have a security officer card through another company and would like to update to 5 STAR, there is a simple two step process:
1. Renew online with a credit card.
2. Fill out the update application. Be sure to Print and Sign your name and then fax it to our licensing center. Fax 713-400-1953
